Gina A. S. Robinson

Associate Director

It is our pleasure to announce that Gina A.S. Robinson will assume the position of Associate Director with the Wabash Center beginning on April 1, 2022. We welcome Gina to our staff at this critical time in theological and religious education.

Gina grew up on her great grandfather’s farm in rural Georgia, where hard work and education served as the primary vehicles to multi-generational success. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and African American studies from Emory College followed by a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Gina spent a year at Yale Divinity School researching the varying implications of colorism on the identity development of Black girls. Gina is a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Philosophy program in Christian Education at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. She is a three-time Doctoral Fellow with the Forum for Theological Education and a research fellow for Columbia University’s Center on African-American Religion, Sexual Politics and Social Justice. Gina is a licensed minister in the American Baptist Church pursuing ordination. She enjoys cooking, nurturing her plants, traveling, boxing training, collecting vinyl records, and hosting friends for dinner parties.

“We are very exciting that Gina, as an early career colleague, will be leading, influencing and making her mark with our team. She brings a wealth of knowledge about pedagogical issues, creativity, and an ethic of hard work.” Nancy Lynne Westfield, Director of Wabash Center
